If love is the answer, can you plz repeat the question!!!

Love... Dunno y I want to voice(type in this case!!!) my feelings about this weird feeling, we all know by the name..."LOVE"... But I am feeling the urge... Me and my intellectual, spritual, philosophical etc etc etc roommate, often wonder if ppl on this earth even realise what actually feel for ppl around them. If they actually love others as much as they claim to, If they realy care for others as much as they claim... or lets not sound blaming... lets give them benefit of doubt...


So rephrasing the "8th wonder of the hell" for two of us..."Do the know-it-all creatures of this earth love their families, friends as much as they think they do???"



Lets analyse!!!

From the day a child starts understanding(a bit, not completely ofcourse) what all grown up weirdoes are doing around him... He is told, fed, shown :- LOVE YOUR MOMMY!!! LOVE YOUR PAPA!!! LOVE YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!! whether a child wants to or not he is told that u are supposed to, u are entitled to love your family and your family loves u back... Almost every normal human being grows with this fact. So he/she considers that no matter who it is, how it is, whether he like their faces/noses/body structure or not, what they feel for their family is love. But what exactly it is in most of the cases is feeling of relationship.



Now let me put disclaimer here "I am not saying that we all dont love our families/friends, but most of the times we measure it too much than it actually is"

Same goes with other relations, frndships, courtships... We just love the word "LOVE" and are happily ready to name mere affection for someone as LOVE at the click.



But its at the time of trials that we come to know about the depth of our feelings. When in old age a son kicks out his dear MOM, DAD,

Or a father asking his daughter to sacrifise her education or her love for family's grace(In some cases even killing her, Woa and we thght mommy,daddy loved their daughter)...

Or a brother too busy in his meetings and stuff that he didnt think that his sister's labour pains were important...

Or a friend stuck so badly in office that he couldnt attend his best frnd's marriage(which he promised to attend at any cost on one fine evening in college canteen)

A person asking his fiancee to change herself for him just becoz he feels insecure/possessive.

A girl asking her BF not to go out with his frnds and spend time with he whenevr she wants.



Think about the excpectations we have and excuses which we make... then you can measure whether you truly care as much as u claim...

I believe love doesnt arise for someone just because you are related by blood, or u were married or enagaged. Just because someone is ur father, mother, son, daughter, husband/wife or fiancee, u cant asume that u love that person.

I believe closest(i said closest, exceptions are always there) you can come to the purest form of love u can see on this earth is a mother's love, bcoz she loves and cares for her child selflessly... or the love of a stranger who comes in ur life, loves u for who u r, never expects anything back(straight out of some fairy tale, but trust me it happens)



Dictionary meaning: LOVE: . 1.A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

2. A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.



Love arises when you feel oneness with the other soul. you feel that he/she is the right piece at right place in the puzzle of your life. When someone touches your heart not just ur hand, who tries to strengthen you, motivate you, beckons you... first one to catch your hand when you lose balance... Someone like an angel, a God.

When you love, u see beyond reasons, think beyond excuses... you are ready to do anything on this earth to make that person happy, from few greeting cards here and there, few loving msgs, some surprises, to adjustments/sacrifices/compromises(small or big) just to make that person smile.

You take time off your busy schedule to talk to ur mom, u rush to see her if she got survicle pain, you save money to gift your father his favourte car, you take a day off to spend a day with your daughter, you try to steal an hour between your connecting flights to sit with ur fiancee on airport waiting lounge... you wake up early or sleep late to chat with ur frnd staying overseas just bcoz he/she is lonely and missing India... You run back 4 flights of stairs just bcoz u forgot to kiss ur husband b4 leaving, you drive for 2 hrs at 4 in the morning to just have glance of ur GF at railway station when she is leavng with her family for a short trip...



When you keep searching for the reasons/excuses/chances to be with ur loved ones, to make them feel special, then believe that you truly love!!! If you have never expected the ppl u claim to love to compromise for you, then believe that you love them!!!



To love someone you have to think beyond youself!!! Love is selfless!!! And it never fades away... Keeps on growing!!!
